"10 Ways I Love You" Mini Album

Happy Monday crafty friends.

Today I'm sharing a mini album that I created using the My Mind's Eye "Sweetest Thing" collection. I'm just in love with the pinks and yellows in this collection. Gorgeous papers!

This mini album is inspired by the book binding / mini album making designs of one super talented Laura Denison. My favorite thing about this album is that you can use the patterned paper of a 6x6 paper pad and put it together SO QUICKLY.

Here is a video I created showing how to make the covers and pages and how to bind the mini album together.

"Shop Pumpkin Spice" April Blog Hop

Welcome to the April Pumpkin Spice Blog Hop. Today we are celebrating everything eggs.

I created this egg card for my mother for Easter. It was my time to use some serious glitter!! I don't always bust out the glitter, but when I do...it's amazing! After cutting the eggs using my Cricut, I covered them with Glossy Accents and sprinkled them with glitter. To give them some definition, I inked the edges with dark green ink.

"Paradise" Birthday Cake Card

Happy Monday everyone!

I think I've been stuck in a crafty rut. Boo. I'm blaming it on the gloomy weather we've been having. All the cloudy days filled with rain and fog have bummed me out. So to cheer myself up, I made some birthday cards using some summer paper. And it did the trick!! I've been in a summer time mood all day.

I started with some scrap paper I had from the "Paradise Beach" paper pad. Using four different patterned paper, I cut the paper into 1/4 inch strips. Then I took a piece of copy paper measuring 4 1/2 x 4 1/2 and ran adhesive all over it. I laid the strips in a diagonal pattern across the copy paper. It created this really cool and unique patterned paper.

Using my Cricut I cut out a simple silhouette of a birthday cake and cut a square around the image measuring 4 3/4 x 4 3/4. I did some simple white pen outlining and stamping with a "Happy Birthday" stamp from my stash. Super easy, fast and adorable card.
