Boo Party Invitation

I had the best 4th of July weekend! My cousin got married on Saturday and let me just say, we have 3-day weddings in my family. The rehearsal dinner on Friday was so much fun, delicious pizza and we learned a dance routine to Bruno Mars "Marry Me" (the grand march). It was hilarious. My cousins and sisters were all bridesmaid which made Saturday so fun. My cousin looked like the most gorgeous bride - straight out of a magazine. I have never laughed and cried so hard at a wedding before. The ceremony was lovely and the reception was amazing. There were so many little surprises and awesome speeches I'm getting all teary-eyed just remembering. Sunday was a recovery brunch. We watched an amazing slide show of the couple.
My aunt and her sisters and friends outdid themselves with all the planning and detail that went into this wedding. Kudos to everyone involved!!  It was magical! Sprinkle in some patriotic parades and fireworks and my family was exhausted for days.

Anyways, back to paper crafting...

I created a Halloween party invitation (why may you ask) for some challenge blogs. I love challenge blogs!! They are so .... challenging? LOL! I like being given a certain set of guidelines and asked to create a project. It totally make me think outside the box and outside the cut.

This "Boo Party" invitation was made entirely from the Wild Card cartridge. I used icons as shapes and hide a lot of features using my Gypsy. First I welded a gravestone together to make a shaped card.

I had the bats cut out of the gravestone too, you are seeing the negative with black cardstock behind. I inked all the edges with Tim Holtz Distress Ink for a spooky feel. The sentiment "Boo" and the letters for "party" are all from Wild Card!

I used Glossy Accents on the spider to make him stand out.

Inside you see the bats that were cut out in gray glued down to the black cardstock. I dry embossed the "Boo" with the Cuttlebug Swiss Dots folder.

I am entering this card in three challenge blogs. First at Cricut 360 (invitation) and at More than Favors (Wild Card cartridge) and finally at My Creative Time  (Wild Card cart and embossing). Wish me luck!!
