"The Magic of Oz" Mini Album

This is my Monday post over at the Pumpkin Spice Blog. Check back everyday for amazing crafty inspirations.

I have purchase so many Halloween papers and crafting supplies I am forcing myself to do only Halloween projects until the month's end. Thankfully Halloween is one of my favorite holidays! I am continually inspired by this season.

I made this mini album by taking 5 sheets of paper from "The Magic of Oz" 8x8 paper pack from Graphic 45. I cut each page at 6" by 8". Then I scored the paper at 4". Then I folded each paper and stacked them in book form, punched two holes in the spine and strung some black ribbon through. Instant book.

I cut out the large 4x4 tag from the paper pack. Then I cut another tag from the Birthday Bash Cricut cartridge measuring 3" by 4 1/2".

I finished the book by adding lots of black ribbon to the ribbon spine. Done!! I am hoping to take some fantastic Halloween pictures this year to add to this mini album.

Supplies:
Graphic 45 "The Magic of Oz" 8x8 paper pad
Found here for $7.69.

The Twinery : Charcoal Black and White twine

FCCB Challenge #82 : Purple People Eater

Happy Monday everyone. I am loving this fall weather we are having. Time for hot soup and warm apple cider. Yum yum yum!! And snuggling up in slippers with a good movie. Ohh. Note: I am excited about the cold weather now, but in two months I'll probably be over it!

Anyways, I made today's project for the FCCB Challenge #82 : Purple People Eater - create a project with the color purple and a monster or bug on it. Check out all the creations at Fantabulous Cricut.

I used the Mini Monsters Cricut cartridge. I am just loving this cart. Not only for all the Halloween projects we are working on now, but for anytime of the year.

I made this door hanger for my front door. Ya know, to scare the trick-or-treaters! I attached the monsters together using my Crop-a-dile and black ribbon.

I got all the paper and extra supplies to make this adorably scary door hanger at Shop Pumpkin Spice.

Supplies:
Mini Monsters - Cricut cartridge
Paper - Best Creation "Happy Haunting" 6x6 Glitter Pad
My Mind's Eye "Lush" rhinestones
My Mind's Eye "Blackbird" brads
black cardstock
black ribbon
Glossy Accents
Stickles

Be sure to check out the Pumpkin Spice Blog to see the daily design team posts. The creations are always amazing and beautiful.

Hope you all get inspired to make more fall projects. I know all I have to do is look outside for inspiration.

Baby Banners

My friend came over for some much needed crafting time a couple week ago. She was throwing a baby shower for her friend who was in the hospital on bed rest with TWIN GIRLS. Needless to say my friend wanted to make name banners for the mommy-to-be to spruce up the rather dull hospital room.

We used the Mother's Day Bouquet Cricut cartridge for the circle and the flower shapes. The circles were cut at 8" and the flowers were cut at 6.5". The letters are from the Birthday Bash Cricut cartridge and cut out at 6". I love how bold and simple the letters turned out. The mommy is a no frills kinda gal so we kept the banners really simple.

Then we made this diaper cake with Newborn size diapers. Isn't it so cute! My friend had the best idea - inside the cake, helping to keep it's shape and keep it strong, are two Diaper Genie refills. We wrapped them in white tissue paper so you can't see them. My friend bought the flower and pinwheel decorations that we stuck on the sides. We made the letter "B" using the Birthday Bash Cricut cartridge and glued it to a bamboo skewer. Couple rhinestones later and we were done.

My friend said the mommy-to-be was super thrilled with her decorations. We hope she puts the banners over the cribs so the new babies don't get mixed up!

"Blackbird" Super Scary Card

Happy Monday everyone. We are having the most beautiful weather here in the Midwest. I can't believe it's October and we have the windows open and shorts on! The leaves are changing into beautiful colors and my kiddos are loving it.

I created this "scary" card using the so cute My Mind's Eye "Blackbird" paper collection found here at the awesome Pumpkin Spice online shop.

This A2 size card is Cricut-less. I can't believe it cause I always manage to sneak in a quick Cricut cut somewhere!!

I bought this complete kit a couple months back when the collection went into closeout. It came with brads, ribbon, cardstock pieces, tons of paper and these adorable stamps!! Frankenstein, the spiders, and the pumpkins are all stamps. Too cute right!

Supplies:
My Mind's Eye "Blackbird" paper and cardstock embellishment
My Mind's Eye "Blackbird" stamps
My Mind's Eye : Happy Go Lucky "Hello" twine
Copic markers
dimensionals

Check out some of the other amazing Halloween paper you can get at Shop Pumpkin Spice. It sure gets me in the Trick or Treat spirit!!
