Winter Wonderland "Skater" Card

Happy Monday everyone. Today is my day to post at the Pumpkin Spice Blog. This week's challenge is sports!

As I was rummaging through my pile of 6x6 paper pads, I came across my favorite winter themed collection "Winter Wonderland" by My Mind's Eye. Suddenly, my head became flooded with winter themed sports. I came across this adorable cut from the Winter Frolic Cricut cartridge.

Here's my card.

I added some black pen detailing around her for a little more definition.

"Summer Days" Knockoff Card

Happy Monday fellow crafters! It's my turn to post over at the Pumpkin Spice Blog.

Today's card is inspired by a card my SIL got me for Mother's Day. The card is so cute and clever that I knew I had to re-create it.

This is the original store bought card. Isn't it so cute! The little turtle is flying a kite. The kite part is a negative cut and when you open up the card the striped kite reveals itself as a rainbow. Totally adorable.

Here is my knock-off version. I used the Cricut cartridge Create a Critter 1 and 2 to make the bear, kite, and rainbow. The clouds are a metal die cut from white foam. The card base is from Birthday Bash.

Supplies:

Echo Park "Summer Days" Rainbow 12" x 12" Paper

Echo Park "Summer Days" Scallops 12" x 12" Paper

  Echo Park "Summer Days" Blue/Orange 12" x 12" Paper

Echo Park "Summer Days" 6x6 paper pad

Mother's Day Card

I am such a procrastinator when it comes to crafting. I am pretty much making the card as my family is getting into the van to leave for the party. Bah! I always promise I'm gonna be better at getting cards done ahead of time, but then life happens and I fail. But what makes this really bad is there are SO many cards and projects I create that I never take pictures of or post. Bummer.

Anyways, here is the Mother's Day card I made for all the mommies in my family. Never too late to post. All the stamps, ink and paper are Papertrey Ink. The white flag was cut from my Cricut.

I love assembly line crafting. I cranked out about 25 cards in an hour. The trick is to keep it simple and not be so picky about perfection.

Simple Bicycle Card

I stumbled upon a new challenge blog that's been blowing my mind. It's the CASology blog where the challenge changes every week, but the point is to keep your project Clean and Simple. Awesome right. And an extra challenge to keep things CAS. Love it. And the DT entries are so inspiring.

The challenge this week is "wheels" and this is my take on it.

I'm loving the color schemes of teal and red. I think it makes a clean and simple card bright!

Fabulous Ladybug Card

Hey y'all. This is my card for the BBTB2 challenge "ladybugs".

I glammed up my ladybug with some eyelashes and blush. Isn't she sweet. I used Create a Critter for my ladybug. The frame and sentiment are from Fabulous Frames PTI.

MIM #119

I just love Monday mornings! For one reason only (who actually likes Monday mornings?). And that is the Papertrey Ink "Make It Monday" videos. I love learning new techniques and watching the designers use their stamps, or inks, or dies, in new and exciting ways.

This week's video is by my favorite designer, Dawn McVey. She is teaching how to create a card with a flag boarders focal point. Love it! And so easy! I see me making a lot of these cards in the future. Click here for the blog and to see the video.

Here is my card.

I just got the Hello Sunshine stamp set and die set. I know right, what took me so long. I was so excited to make my first sunburst! It took a few times to get it right, but I love the effect it has in the background. And of course the sentiment is amazing from that set. You can see in my flags that a couple sunburst dies made it in.

SPS June Blog Hop

June is finally here! And hopefully it comes with good weather and summer time fun.

This week's challenge is : Father (anything that makes you think of father/grandpa).
You can enter your submission here at the Pumpkin Spice Blog.

I have so many great father/grandfather memories! I've been so blessed with the awesome male role models in my life. But when I think of my dad right now I think, shoot his birthday is coming up soon. So I created this "manly" father birthday card.
