I made this quick card for my nephew's birthday. He loves robots. And he loved his card.

The inside of this card is all paper. No added embellishments. I cut the card to fit these gears in and it worked perfectly. Effortless paper makes for an effortless card. Love it!

Bridal Shower Banner with Crate Paper

I am just in love with the Crate Paper "Portrait Collection" paper. The patterns are so elegant! I wanted to make a Bridal Shower banner for a friend who's wedding colors are black and white. I new I would use this amazing paper line with a ton of black and white patterns.

Here is a close up.

Using the "Tie the Knot" Cricut cartridge I was able to cut the same triangle shape banner for each letter out of 3 12x12 sheets of "Portrait" paper. Then I mixed and matched different patterns for the scalloped edge and inner triangle. The papers matched so well! This was a super quick banner to make.

Supplies:
Paper:
 Portrait Collection Kit 12\"X12\"
Crate Paper "Portrait Collection" Kit $11.20 found here

Cricut Cartridges: Tie the Knot, Flower Shoppe, Storybook
Plain black cardstock
White ribbon

I posted this on Monday at the Pumpkin Spice Blog. Check there everyday for some inspiring creations from the amazing design team. They are always creating the most beautiful things. And everything they make you can make too with supplies from Shop Pumpkin Spice.

FCCB Challenge #78 - A Pirate's Life

Good Monday to you all! We've been having some very chilly weather lately. I love wrapping up in a blanket and watching a movie with something warm to drink! I am ready for fall!

This week's challenge at Fantabulous Cricut is "A Pirate's Life" : Make a pirate themed project.

There are so many Cricut cartridges that have pirate cuts on them. It was hard to choose what direction I wanted to go with this project. Then I got the new Sweet Tooth Boxes project cart in my hot little hands and I knew I wanted to make a treasure chest.

I cut the "Toolbox" cut in all the layers and assembled it as shown in the cart manual. It was really easy! You will need a scoring tool (I use the Martha Stewart score board) and some strong roll tape (I used my ATG).

When I was all done my "treasure chest" looked a little plain. So I added some of my own detailing. Instead of the handle on top, I cut out the handle twice and rolled / glued the new handles to each side of the chest. I also cut the brown panels out myself. I ran them through a Papertrey Ink wood embossing plate to add some grainy texture then Distress Ink the grain for some depth. A few brass brads and we were looking more treasure chesty.

My daughter was having a "Pirate Princess" birthday party so the treasure chest was perfect for her pirate booty treat bags. Too cute!

Seal Birthday Card

I made this birthday card for my niece. She loves to come over and craft with me. Her favorite cartridge is Create a Critter. Last time she was here she was cutting and layering her own little critters all by herself. I was so proud!

I had all the specs written down for this card, but yikes, I lost it somewhere. So I'm going off memory. The seal and ball are from Create a Critter. The banner letters are from Zoo Day. I just LOVE this font. The shaped card was made on my gypsy but I'm not sure where this scalloped rectangle is from. And the banner is a bunch of triangles welded together with my gypsy too.

All the paper was from my scraps. I love when a bunch of scraps match and you have enough to whip up a card. My scrap stash is HUGE and I'm always adding to and taking from it.

The sentiment stamp is from Papertrey Ink. From one of the flower fusion sets. I love these $5 sets. So versatile. I have gotten them all, along with the matching die. I am currently storing them in blank CD cases. I divided the flower stamps with the sentiment stamps. I find I use the sentiments more and mix and match the flowers more. Love it!

"Portrait" Paper Wedding Card

My family and I have been battling some wicked sicknesses this last week. We've all taken our fare share of down days. My poor kiddos are so brave when they're sick, but man is it heart breaking to watch them. Needless to say my craft room has been empty this week!

I made this wedding card several weeks a go for the sweetest couple!

The love birds are from the Joys of the Seasons Cricut cartridge. The "I Do" sentiment is from the Tie the Knot Cricut cartridge. I cut both out in the base and shadow cuts.

I used the Crate Paper "Portrait Collection" 12x12 paper kit from Shop Pumpkin Spice. The paper has this amazing vintage feel. And the sticker embellishments have a ton of options from wedding, to travel, to everyday journaling. I just love this paper kit!

 Portrait Trims 4/Pkg
Click here to order the 4 trim pack for $3.50.

Supplies:
Cricut cartridges: Joy of the Seasons, Lacy Labels, and Tie the Knot
Paper: Crate Paper "Portrait Collection"
Embellishments: Crate Paper "Portrait Collection" trim, rhinestones, black brad
Stamps: Papertrey Ink "Beautiful Blessings", Stampin Up "Love"
Black chalk ink

I just adore making wedding cards for couples in love. I remember my wedding day and all the blessings and joy I felt. When my husband and I opened our cards the next day, I remember crying over what people had written. All their thoughts and prayers meant so much to us. I still have every card we received for our wedding. I just can't part with them!

FCCB Challenge #76 : Back to School

If you are looking for the September Pumpkin Spice Blog Hop click here.

The challenge today over at Fantabulous Cricut is Back to School : use your ABC's (Letters) or 123's (numbers) on your project. How cute is this challenge!

I used a tag shape from the Graphically Speaking Cricut cartridge and welded it together with my Gypsy. That is the shape of the card.

I cut the alphabet border from Graphically Speaking too. I cut it to fit the tag shape card on my Gypsy. Even though it cut an intricate shape at a small size, my Cricut cut it really well. That's cause I used really good quality paper found at Shop Pumpkin Spice.

Supplies:
Cricut Cartridges : Graphically Speaking and Doodlecharms
Paper : Jillibean Soup Watermelon Gazpacho 6x6 Paper Pad, plain red/orange cardstock from stash
Twine : MME Lime Twist : Fly a Kit "Spring" twine
Black chalk ink
Tim Holtz distresser

Found here at Shop Pumpkin Spice for $4.19!

Found here at Shop Pumpkin Spice for $2.09!

Thanks for stopping by to see my FCCB creation. I hope you are inspired by all the designs you see. Then make your own "Back to School" project and link it to Fantabulous Cricut.
