"Winter Wonderland" December Daily

Happy Monday darling crafters.

Today I'm posting my "almost" finished December Daily!! I just have to add the pictures and journaling (which are all saved and ready to go) to make this album complete. I am really happy with the way it turned out. And it was so fun to make!!

12 Days of Cricut : Day #6 - Banner

Today I'm here to share with you a Christmas Banner. This came together so fast and so easily.

I hope everyone is getting all their Christmas stuff done. My shopping is almost complete - but there is always something else to get. Haha.

Seal Birthday Card

I made this birthday card for my niece. She loves to come over and craft with me. Her favorite cartridge is Create a Critter. Last time she was here she was cutting and layering her own little critters all by herself. I was so proud!

I had all the specs written down for this card, but yikes, I lost it somewhere. So I'm going off memory. The seal and ball are from Create a Critter. The banner letters are from Zoo Day. I just LOVE this font. The shaped card was made on my gypsy but I'm not sure where this scalloped rectangle is from. And the banner is a bunch of triangles welded together with my gypsy too.

All the paper was from my scraps. I love when a bunch of scraps match and you have enough to whip up a card. My scrap stash is HUGE and I'm always adding to and taking from it.

The sentiment stamp is from Papertrey Ink. From one of the flower fusion sets. I love these $5 sets. So versatile. I have gotten them all, along with the matching die. I am currently storing them in blank CD cases. I divided the flower stamps with the sentiment stamps. I find I use the sentiments more and mix and match the flowers more. Love it!

"Jack" Animal Card

I am sending this boy card to my nephew Jack. I have been very belated on some of my family birthday cards. It's terribly embarrassing. I make cards all the time, but I tend to forget, or miss birthdays, or not work ahead fast enough. Hopefully he just sees it as an opportunity to extend his birthday even longer.

Using my Gypsy, I welded this shaped card together using four scalloped shapes. All the images were cut from my Zoo Day Cricut cartridge. I cut each animal out using coordinating scrap paper layered with white cardstock.

I hope all my nieces and nephews are enjoying their last days of freedom before school starts. I know the moms are excited to be getting back into the school year routine.

"Boys Only" Slip and Slide

My amazing sister-in-law had all the kiddos (that would be 4 nieces and 4 nephews) over to her house for a cousin's slumber party. My kiddos had an absolute BLAST!! They got to play outside, go to Chuck E. Cheese, and play on the slip and slide. I know. And I wasn't even invited!! LOL!

This photo was taken by my SIL. It totally cracks me up seeing these four boys drinking out of the slip and slide sprinkler. My son saw the pic and said "Don't worry mom, the water was clean. It came from a hose". Too funny!

"Be A Star" Card

This card goes out to all the little starfish in the sea wishing they were BIG starfish. All it takes is a little bit of bling to be different!

I am entering this card in the Bitten By the Bug 2 challenge blog. Challenge - do a project with a starfish.

MOM Grungeboard Book

I made this MOM grungeboard book for my mom this past Mother's Day. Have I mentioned my mom is my biggest and craftiest supporter. She illustrates for children's material. Check out her blog. She owns the Cricut Personal Cutting Machine and a gypsy. She has made some beautiful paper crafting projects and cards. She's awesome!!

I started by welding the letters MOM from the Zoo Day cricut cartridges to a rectangle on my gypsy. I adjusted the rectangle to the exact size I wanted by unlinking (clicking off the chain link) the size proportion. I cut out the welded pieces in Tim Holtz grungeboard. It was my first time using this material and I liked it. It cut very well using my Cricut Expression machine and deep cut blade and housing. The edges also inked really well. I then cut out the rectangles and letters in patterned paper and assembled the book.

I punched holes on the left side using my Crop-a-dile Big Bite and bound the edges with ribbon.

Each page has different images from my Cricut. They are just waiting for some pics to be added.

My favorite page is the back page. It's simple but pretty. It has a Thank You sentiment stamped on a postage stamp image covered with Stickles. Just love that Stickles sparkle!!

I was really inspired doing the project. This was my first welded word album and it turned out pretty simple. I have some great ideas for my next one!!
